Mia Starr

With a foundation in ballet and pointe, and a passion for Contemporary, Mia has trained and performed in a multitude of dance styles for many years through her dance studio, conventions and competitions, and summer intensives throughout the country.  She was recently named a Senior True Performer for Intrigue Dance Intensive to last through the 2025 season.  Mia won a Choreography Award for her self choreographed solo, That's Life, at Masquerade Dance Competition in February.  Later in the season, Mia was named the 2024 Solo National Champion for That's Life at the Masquerade National Finals in June.  Mia debuted her most recent choreographed group dance, Close the Mind, in Minneapolis and Denver, and was the Imagination Group Winner in both cities.  Close the Mind competed in the Elite Teen Small Group category and won 1st Place at Eleve National Dance Competition in Minneapolis in May.  You can find her teaching dance classes and choreographing for multiple studios and theaters across the state.  Mia also sings with her school choir and a capella group, and she enjoys performing in her high school's musical theater productions.
